Telemetry is off by default. Here's exactly what changes if you flip it on.
Most apps bury tracking in a privacy policy nobody reads. Orty does the opposite: telemetry ships disabled, and Trust Settings shows you every byte the app holds — plus precisely what opting in would share.
This page exists so you never have to take our word for any of it.
Default state: silent
- No analytics in the app — no usage stats, crash reporters, or heartbeat pings unless you enable them.
- Two outbound connections total — lead rating goes directly from your machine to Google Gemini; drafting goes to your chosen chat provider (Groq by default). Both fire only when you trigger them, both authenticate with your own keys.
- Everything else is local — CRM, screenshots, drafts, insights, goals, diagnostics: your user folder, offline-capable, exportable as one zip.
If you opt in to telemetry
The toggle lives in Trust Settings and stays where you put it. Enabled, Orty sends anonymous, locally-derived statistics only — think counters: ratings performed, errors hit, feature usage. Never your leads, never drafts or prompts, never screenshots. The marketing site is cookieless too (Plausible), so visiting orty.vercel.app sets no cookies either.

- Check the network yourself — any packet sniffer confirms the only endpoints are your configured AI providers — and only while you act.

Frequently asked questions
Why include telemetry at all?
Opt-in, anonymous counters are how an indie developer learns which features earn their place — without ever seeing a customer's actual work. It stays off until you decide otherwise, and the app is fully functional without it.
Does Gemini store the screenshots I rate?
Rating sends the screenshot directly to Google's Gemini API under your key, governed by Google's API terms. Orty doesn't relay, copy, or keep a server-side copy — because Orty has no server. Local copies remain in your workspace until you delete them.
Is the website tracking me?
Only Plausible — a cookieless, GDPR-friendly counter that can't identify individuals. That choice is why you see no consent banner here: there's nothing to consent to.
