Privacy Policy

We don't have your data because we can't see it.

Last updated: August 25, 2026

This policy is short on purpose. Orty is a privacy-first company, and the simplest way to honor that is to never collect your data in the first place.

The short version

Orty is local-first: your leads, CRM, and screenshots are stored only on your machine, and you can export or import everything anytime. What leaves your machine, exhaustively: AI provider calls made with your own API keys; a version check; optional opt-in telemetry (off by default); and for Pro, license checks that send only your license key plus an anonymous device hash. No accounts. No email required. No tracking pixels. Checkout is powered by Whop, and we never see or store your full card details.

1. We don't collect your data

Orty does not operate any server that receives your data by default. The app has no account system, so there is no profile of you stored anywhere by us. v1.20-beta introduced an optional telemetry toggle that is OFF by default; when you enable it, Orty sends only anonymous, locally-derived usage statistics (feature-usage counts, crash-free sessions) — never your leads, email drafts, chat prompts, or CRM. You can review exactly what would be sent via Trust Settings → View My Data, and disable it at any time.

This website (the marketing site) uses cookieless analytics only — Plausible (privacy-friendly, GDPR-compliant, no cookies) and Vercel Analytics. Neither sets tracking cookies, sells data, or identifies you personally. The Orty app itself has no analytics or phone-home unless you opt into the anonymous telemetry toggle described above — and even then it never sees your content.

2. The app runs entirely on your machine

Orty is a local-first desktop application. Your leads, emails, chat sessions, CRM entries, portfolio text, downloaded audio, and error logs are stored in files inside your own user profile folder on your own computer. They are never transmitted to Orty or anyone else.

The CRM is a plain CSV file. You can open it in Excel, back it up to a thumb drive, or delete it. If you delete the files, the data is gone — there is no cloud copy.

3. What leaves your machine — exhaustively

Four kinds of outbound connections exist, and this is the complete list:

  • AI provider calls (your own API keys) — triggered only when you press a button. Chat AI powers Co-Pilot: Groq by default, or OpenRouter, Cerebras, Together, Mistral, or OpenAI on Pro. Google Gemini 3.6 Flash is the dedicated engine for Rate, Batch, and Long Form because it is the only free option with real multimodal vision.
  • A version check — Orty asks this site's public version.txt whether an update exists. No device data, no identifiers.
  • Optional opt-in telemetry — off by default. If you enable it, Orty sends only anonymous, locally-derived usage statistics — never your leads, drafts, prompts, or screenshots.
  • Pro license checks — activation and periodic validation send only your license key plus an anonymous device hash. Nothing else. Works offline for up to 7 days between checks.

The AI calls go directly from your machine to the provider you chose, authenticated with your own API keys. The content of those requests (the creator screenshot, your prompt, your portfolio text, the YouTube URL) is sent to that provider under their terms and their privacy policy — not Orty's. Orty is not in the path.

No account. No email required. No tracking pixels — in the app or on this site. If you never press Rate, Co-Pilot, or Long Form, the only network traffic is the version check.

4. Payment is powered by Whop

Checkout is powered by Whop. Orty never sees or stores your full card details — payment is processed entirely by Whop, which supports card, PayPal, crypto, and other methods. We receive only the information Whop passes along to deliver your order: your purchase email and an order confirmation.

That purchase email is used solely to deliver your order. It is not used for marketing, not sold, not shared.

5. Your leads and emails never leave your machine

Your leads, email drafts, chat sessions, CRM entries, and any downloaded audio are stored locally in your user profile folder and are never transmitted to Orty. The only time any of this content leaves your machine is when you explicitly send it to your selected chat AI provider or to Google Gemini as part of a rate, chat, or audit action — and even then it goes directly to that provider, not to Orty.

You are responsible for your own backups. Because we do not have your data, we cannot restore it for you if you lose it. Copy your CRM CSV somewhere safe.

6. Children's privacy

Orty is a professional tool intended for adults doing business outreach. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect any data from children. Because we don't collect data from anyone, this applies by default.

7. Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes in a way that reduces your privacy, we will say so loudly — not bury it in a quiet update. Material changes will be announced by email to buyers and reflected in the "last updated" date above. The privacy posture itself (local-first, opt-in telemetry off by default, every outbound connection documented in §3) is structural and will not change.
